Knitting Pattern: Siro Socks (by Hannemari Lehtonen)

Siro socks are knitted form the cuff down with two colors. The knitted bobbles add three-dimensionality to the sock.

The pattern for the Siro socks was previously published in Beloved Patterns & Aarikka knitting magazine, where the inspiration came from Aarikka's jewelry, textiles, and home decor items.

Sizes:

36–37 (38–42) / US 4 (US 8-9) The size is defined after the heel.

Finished measurements:

Leg length: Approx. 19 cm / 7.5˝.

Foot length adjustable according to your shoe size.

Yarn:

Markus Company 8-ply (75 % wool, 25 % polyamide, 200 m (219 yds) / 100 g)

MC1: Bleached Sand 1008, approx. 40 (50) g (1 ball) / 85 (100) m / 95 (110) yds

MC2: Rio Red 1656, approx. 80 (88) g (1 ball) / 170 (185) m / 190 (205) yds

Needles:

3.5 mm / US 4 DPNs, 4 mm / US 6 DPNs for colorwork.

Gauge:

18 sts x 26 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4˝ over Stockinette Stitch using 3.5 mm / US 4 DPNs. 19 sts x 26 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4˝ over colorwork in the round using 4 mm / US 6 DPNs.
