The hat is worked from the bottom up with a triple-folded brim.
The pattern for the Hely hat was previously published in Beloved Patterns & Birger Kaipiainen knitting magazine, where the inspiration came from Birger Kaipiainen’s iconic ceramic designs.

Sizes:
S (M) L. Finished hat circumference (negative ease ca. 6 cm / 2.25˝): 46 (50) 53 cm / 18 (19.75) 20.75˝. Fits for head circumference of 52 (56) 59 cm / 20.5 (22) 23.25˝. Shown in Size M.
Yarn:
Tukuwool DK (100 % Finnish wool, 250 m (273 yds) / 100 g)
MC: Aubergine 100 g
CC1: Manna 15 g
CC2: Selja 5 g
Needles:
Circular needle 3.5 mm / US 4, 40 – 50 cm / 16 – 20˝ and 3.5 mm / US 4 DPNs or circular needle, 80 cm / 32˝, for using the Magic loop technique.
Gauge:
21 sts × 28 rnds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4˝ over Stockinette Stitch worked flat and lightly blocked.
Notions:
1 stitch marker and darning needle.
