Knitting Pattern: Kaarna Sweater (by Ronja Hakalehto)

The boxy tee is worked from the top down in colorwork knitting. The worsted yarn is soft and pleasant to knit with.

The pattern for the Kaarna sweater was previously published in Beloved Patterns & Pentik knitting magazine, where the inspiration came from Pentik's decorative textiles and ceramics.

Circular needle 3.5 mm / US 4, 40 cm / 16˝ for neckline ribbing

Gauge:

18 sts × 25 rnds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4˝ over Stockinette Stitch, 19 sts × 25 rnds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4˝ over colorwork in the round

Notions:

Stitch markers, darning needle and waste yarn.

General information:

This tee is worked from the top down. First, the upper back is worked flat until the underarms, and then stitches are picked up from the shoulders to work the upper front until the underarms. The pieces are joined on the same circular needle and the body is worked in the round to the hem. Then, stitches are picked up from the armholes and the
sleeves are worked in the round to end.
