The Porvoo sweater is knitted from the bottom up—first in the round, then flat from the underarms upward.

The Porvoo sweater pattern was first published in the Beloved Patterns & Erik Bruun knitting magazine, inspired by Finnish graphic designer Erik Bruun’s iconic posters.
