Knitting Pattern: Taivasalpi Socks (by Mia Sumell)

Socks made with thin sock yarn are full of details. The bright centers of the flowers are embroidered on top of the stitches afterwards.

The pattern for the Taivasalpi socks was previously published in Beloved Patterns & Birger Kaipiainen knitting magazine, where the inspiration came from Birger Kaipiainen’s iconic ceramic designs.

Needles:

DPNs 2.5 mm / US 1.5. Adjust needle size if needed to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge:

32 sts × 38 rnds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4˝
