The pattern for the Rengas hat was previously published in Beloved Patterns & Vuokko knitting magazine, where the inspiration came from Vuokko’s stunning, timeless prints.

Yarn:

Tukuwool Fingering (100 % Finnish wool, 370 m (405 yds) / 100 g)

MC: (38) Sysi 1 skein or 350 m / 390 yds of fingering weight yarn

CC: (00) Snow White 1 skein or 300 m / 330 yds of fingering weight yarn

Needles:

3 (3.5) 4 mm / US 2.5 (4) 6, 40 cm / 16″ and 80 cm / 32″ circular needles

2.5 (2.5) 3 mm / US 1.5 (1.5) 2.5, 80 cm / 32″ circular needles

Gauge:

22 (21) 20 sts × 32 (30) 28 rnds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4″ over Stockinette Stitch using larger needles
