The delicate patterns on the sweater depict the rugged nature of the archipelago. The sweater is knitted top-down with a European shoulder construction.

The pattern for the Heini sweater was published in the Saariston neuleet knitting magazine, which was inspired by the Finnish archipelago and seascape.

Materials:

Yarn: Säie Wool Linen DK (70% wool, 30% linen, 233 m / 100 g)

MC: Evening white 4 (4, 4, 5, 5) (5, 6, 6, 6) skeins or 830 (850, 890, 970, 1050) (1220, 1280, 1340, 1390) m of DK weight yarn.

CC: Faithful Fern 2 (2, 2, 2, 3) (3, 3, 3, 4) skeins or 250 (310, 370, 430, 490) (550, 610, 670, 730) m of DK weight yarn

Needles: 4 mm and 60–80 cm circular needles for body and sleeves, 3 mm and
40–60 cm circular needles for neckline, and 3 mm DPNs for cuffs.

Other notions: Stitch markers, locking stitch markers, spare needle, scrap yarn / cable, tapestry needle.

Gauge:

19 sts and 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch with 4 mm needles, after blocking.
