The Maj striped sweater, designed by Anna Tanskanen and knitted from a cotton blend yarn, is the perfect basic sweater for summer. It’s suitable for warm summer days as is and for cool evenings under a jacket. The sweater is knitted top-down.

Pattern details:

Sizes:

S (M) L (XL) XXL. The recommended ease for the sweater is approx. 10 cm. Finished garment bust circumference: 96 (105) 110 (126) 135 cm.

Materials:

Yarn: Sandnes Garn Line (50 g = 110 m) Main Colour 200 (200) 250 (250) 300 g and Stripe Colour 100 (150) 200 (200) 200 g. Colours shown in pictures are 1002 (White) and 6032 (Hortensia).

Needles: 3 mm and 4 mm circular needles with 40 cm and 80 cm cables, or size to obtain gauge.

Other materials: Tapestry needle.

Gauge:

20 sts × 30 rows = 10 cm × 10 cm in stockinette stitch with 4 mm needles after blocking
