Downloadable instructions: Tuliainen Socks (designed by Tiina Kaarela)

The Tuliainen socks are knitted top-down, from cuff to toe. Due to the long floats, the ladderback jacquard technique is used in the pattern. You can choose the colors for the socks to match the retro colors of the jars or go even wilder.

The pattern for the Tuliainen socks is published in the Rakkaat kuviot & Aarikka magazine, where Aarikka's jewelry, textiles, and interior decoration items served as inspiration.

Yarn: Opal 4-ply sock yarn (75% wool, 25% polyamide, 425 m / 100 g)

MC: red 5180. Yarn consumption: 1 skein or 280 m / 70 g

CC: white 2620. Yarn consumption: 1 skein or 220 m / 50 g

Needles: 2 mm and 2.5 mm circular needles (80–100 cm) or double-pointed needles

Other materials: Tapestry needle and scissors

32 sts and 43 rows = 10 × 10 cm
