The instructions for the Empress mittens were published in the Rakkaat kuviot & Aarikka knitting magazine, which drew inspiration from Aarikka's jewelry, textiles, and home decor items.

Finished measurements: Mitten circumference 20 (20) cm, Mitten palm length 17 (20) cm.
Materials:
Yarn: Vuonue Wilhelmi worsted yarn (70% Finnish lamb wool, 30% Tencel, 400 m / 100 g). You will need approximately 60 (65) g or 240 (260) m (one skein).
Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair (57% mohair, 28% silk, 15% wool, 212 m / 25 (30) g or 212 (260) m (1 (2) balls).
In the picture, the colors are Wilhelmi light grey and Tynn Silk Mohair 1199 Salt’n Pepper Tweed. The work uses one strand of each yarn held together.
Needles: 3 mm and 3.5 mm double-pointed needles. Choose needles that will allow you to match the gauge.
Other materials: stitch markers, scrap yarn, cable needle, tapestry needle for finishing.
Gauge:
11 sts × 16 rows = 5 × 5 cm in stockinette stitch in the round with larger needles (after blocking).
