The Sand socks feature patterns resembling those drawn in sand by the movement of water. The stranded colourwork creates a beautifully rich design. The socks are knitted cuff-down.

The pattern for the Sand socks was published in Rakkaat kuviot & Pentik magazine, where the inspiration came from Pentik's home textiles and ceramics.

Yarn: Markus Company 6ply (75% wool, 25% polyamide, 125 m/50 g)

MC: Purple rose 80 g, 2 balls

CC: Autumn glory 50 g, 1 ball

Needles: 3 mm DPNs and 2.5 mm for ribbing

Other materials: tapestry needle for finishing

Gauge:

28 sts × 34 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stranded colourwork in the round
