The striped mittens begin with a provisional cast-on. The edge of the mittens is folded in half for a sturdy finish.

Materials:

Yarn: Novita Muumitalo (75% wool, 25% polyamide, 225 m / 100 g)

MC: muumipeikko 007 1 ball or 50 (60, 70) g or 115 (135, 160) m

CC: nuuskamuikkunen 381 1 ball or 35 (45, 55) g or 35 (45, 55) m

Needles: DPNs 3 and 3.5 mm. Choose needle size to achieve correct gauge.

Other materials: Tapestry needle.

Gauge:

24 sts × 26 rows = 10 × 10 cm in colorwork on 3.5 mm needles (after blocking).
