Knitting Pattern: Myllynkivi Poncho Dress (by Janita Koskinen)

An over-sized poncho dress is worked in the round following a colorwork pattern. The project is started from the center of the circle.

Yarn:

Sandness Garn Tynn Line (53 % cotton, 33 % viscose, 14 % linen, 220 m (241 yds) / 50 g)

MC White (1002): 7 (9) balls or 1540 (1980) m / 1680 (2169) yds of light fingering weight yarn

CC Black (1099): 5 (7) balls or 1100 (1540) m / 1200 (1680) yds of light fingering weight yarn

Needles:

3 mm and 3.5 mm / US 2.5 and US 4 DPNs and 3 mm / US 2.5, 40 cm / 16″ and 3.5 mm / US 4, 60–150 cm / 24−60“ circular needles.

Gauge:

27 sts × 43 rnds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4″ over Stockinette Stitch in the round using 3 mm / US 2.5 needles

22 sts × 30 rnds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4″ over colorwork in the round using 3.5 mm / US 4 needles
