The hat is warm because the brim can be folded into several layers.

The Skar hat pattern was first published in the Archipelago Knitting magazine, inspired by the Finnish archipelago and seascape.

Novita 7 Brothers Nummi

(76 % wool, 20 % nylon, 4 % viscose, 200 m (218 yds) / 100 g). Color 946 Moraine 2 (2, 2) balls or approx. 256 (280, 304) m / 280 (306, 332) yds of similar Aran weight yarn (including the pom-pom).

Needles:

4 mm / US 6 DPNs (or 4 mm / US 6, 100 cm / 40” circular needle if you’re using the magic loop technique)

Gauge:

20 sts and 30 rnds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4”over Stockinette Stitch in the round, after finishing, 30 s sts and rnds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4” over cable pattern in the round, after finishing.
