Knitting Pattern: Tähti Cardigan (by Janita Koskinen)

The classic cardigan is knitted flat from the top down. The pattern includes sizes for both men and women.

The Tähti cardigan pattern was first published in the Beloved Patterns & Erik Bruun knitting magazine, inspired by Finnish graphic designer Erik Bruun’s iconic posters.

Gauge:

17 sts × 27 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4˝ over Stockinette Stitch worked flat using smaller needles, after finishing.

15 sts × 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4˝ over colorwork in the round using larger needles, after finishing.

Notions:

Stitch markers, darning needle (for finishing) and waste yarn (for separating sleeves). Norwegian-style clasps for fastening the cardigan.
