Flowers, cats, and art history! We've gathered three patterns from our selection that will add variety to your knitting needles.

Always Afloat

The pattern for the ankle-length Lumme socks is designed by Minttu Wikberg. Adapted from Birger Kaipiainen's art ceramics, the knitting pattern is extremely faithful to its source material, as the socks, reminiscent of nocturnal waters, align with the life's work of Kaipiainen, known as a romantic and symbolist. Water lilies blooming against a deep blue background convey, for example, that it is possible to bloom even in turbulent waters.

Panther's Paw Scratches

The Panther socks, designed by Mia Sumell, are inspired by Ritva Kronlund's classic wallpaper. The 1970s wallpaper has a rock and unapologetic attitude, suitable for those who forge their own path, and the socks share the same spirit. This pattern is classified as difficult, but hey – nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Golden Youth

Romance can be found not only in the Lumme socks but also in Mia Sumell's Wiener Jugend socks. The sock pattern, based on wallpaper from the Pihlgren and Ritola wallpaper factory, is a tribute to an era when, for example, the line between aesthetics and functionality in architecture was blurred. Jugend, meaning youth, has something idealistically rebellious about it, as it cries out: "look how beautiful the world can be!"
