This wintery stranded colourwork set is knitted in the round. The fluffy surface of the knit comes from silk-mohair yarn.

The Snowflake Mittens pattern is published in Rakkaat kuviot & Erik Bruun magazine, where the inspiration was drawn from Erik Bruun's iconic posters.

Mitten circumference 21 cm

Materials:

Yarn: Vuonue Pentti -worsted yarn (70 % Finnish sheep wool, 30 % tencel, 240 m / 100 g)

MC: natural black 1 skein or 170 m

CC: natural white 1 skein or 100 m

Needles: 3 mm and 3.25 mm double pointed needles. Choose needle size to match the gauge.

Other materials: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends, removable stitch marker, scrap yarn.

Gauge:

26 sts and 29 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stranded colourwork on 3.25 mm needles after blocking.
