The interesting surface of the Helmi beanie is created with slipped stitches and the Estonian bobble technique.

The pattern for the Helmi beanie was published in the Rakkaat kuviot & Aarikka magazine, where Aarikka's jewelry, textiles, and home decor items served as inspiration.

Finished garment measurements: Head circumference: 46 (51, 56) cm, Beanie height: 22 cm, Ribbing width: 5 cm.

Materials:

Yarn: Sandnes Garn Double Sunday (100% merino wool, 108 m / 50 g)

MC: 1 (1, 1) skein / 108 (108, 108) m for each size

CC: 1 (1, 1) skein / 108 (108, 108) m for each size

Approximately 48 m of yarn is needed for an optional pom-pom.

Needles: 3.25 mm 40 cm circular needle 2 pcs, 4 mm 40 cm circular needle and double-pointed needles.

Other notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn, 3.25 mm crochet hook.

Gauge:

10 sts × 20 rows = 5 × 5 cm of the beanie pattern repeat (rows 1−10) in the round after blocking.

5 sts × 10 rows = 2.5 × 2.5 cm of one repeat section of the beanie pattern (rows 1−10) in the round after blocking.
