The textured knit of the Kaarna socks imitates tree bark. The pattern is created by knitting cables and twisted stitches. The socks are knitted top-down.

36–37 (38–39, 40–42), size determined after the heel.

Materials: 

Yarn: Filcolana Arwetta (80% superwash merino wool & 20% nylon, 210 m / 50 g), color: 363. 2 (2, 2) skeins or 260 (275, 285) m.

Needles: 2.5 mm or according to your gauge

Other materials: darning needle for finishing, cable needle

Gauge:

30 sts × 36 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch
