Downloadable pattern: Solan Shawl/Shoulder Warmer (designer Jenny Jenny Williams)

The shoulder warmer is full of detailed stranded colorwork patterns. The size of the collar can be adjusted with a drawstring.

The pattern for the Solan shoulder warmer was published in the Saariston neuleet knitting magazine, which took inspiration from the Finnish archipelago and seascape.

Fits bust sizes: 73–89 (91–101, 104–114, 117–127) (130–140, 142–152) cm.

Recommended ease around bust + arms is 12.5–40.5 cm, depending on desired fit. Measure the circumference of your bust + arms and the circumference at the shoulders and compare these measurements to the finished garment measurements. Choose the larger size for a comfortable fit.

22 sts and 34 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch flat, after blocking. 28 sts and 32 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stranded colorwork in the round, after blocking.
