The Vilja placemat is crocheted using the mosaic crochet technique. The placemat can easily be extended into a longer table runner by repeating the pattern.

The instructions for the Vilja placemat were published in Rakkaat kuviot & Pentik magazine, where the inspiration came from Pentik's interior textiles and ceramics.

Materials:

Yarn: Novita Cotton Feel (100 % cotton, 120 m / 50 g)

MC: Natural white (010) 4 balls

CC: Soot (099) 4 balls

Crochet hook: 3 mm and 4 mm or according to your tension

Other materials: tapestry needle for finishing, scissors, scrap yarn for fringes

Gauge:

23 stitches × 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm in mosaic crochet
